Message: I heard a rumor that Dale was killed by a gelatinous cube after last week’s podcast. Is this true?

From: Adam M.

Message: So I took Andrew’s advice from last episode to heart (see what I did there?  Who da real mvp, Nick?) and took four Craiglist Miatas for a test drive.  The first one was shit, the second and fourth were a’ight, but I feel in love with the third one.  It’s a ’94 with 130,000 miles and a rebuilt engine (I think that’s the right word for it, he bought it with a blown head gasket and replaced all the seals when he fixed it), along with a 2 chamber performance radiator (whatever that means), a new clutch, new plugs and wires, and new struts (with a two inch drop to boot).  I don’t know exactly what all of that means but I do know that it was the best running car of the bunch.  Never before have I become turgid just from driving, and it was only $3000!    I didn’t have to get a loan, and I still have about $2000 budgeted to play around with Effing Innertech (cue that drop Puke)

I do know a little something about cars.  I do my own oil changes, I’ve done my own brakes, I’ve replaced coolant hoses, basic stuff stuff like that but I’ve always wanted to learn more about how the engine and shit works and this car seems simple enough for me to learn on, and the online community is massive.  I found out there is a motorsports park nearby that does track days and SCCA says convertibles need an approved rollbar so I am planning on installing one as my first big upgrade.  That leaves me with about $1300 to play with.  What would you suggest I look at as far as modifications?  It’s going to be my daily driver for a bit but I also want to be able to take it onto the track and feel like a badass.  Also, is Nick actually on the show this time, and if so what kind of underwear is he wearing?  Thanks so much for some of the best advice I’ve ever received, I fucking love this fucking car!

Message: I experience much discomfort at the thought of having to use my starship’s transporter.

You wouldn’t believe how many hours I’ve logged on the shuttles, just to get from place-to-place.

If I was born in 1987, I’d probably be using stairs all the time. I know those elevators are convenient, but why risk it?

I extend my support and sympathy to Nick. Keep doing what you’re doing!

P.S. do you have any suggestions for how to recover from Minecraft holo-addiction?
